SALT Foundation Events: Where Connection Happens

True belonging doesn’t happen by accident. It’s created through shared experiences, genuine connection, and communities that choose to show up for each other.

That’s why we host events that bring people together—not just to tick a box, but to create real opportunities for friendship, joy, and the kind of connection that transforms mental health and wellbeing. Whether it’s a monthly dinner around a shared table or a joyful celebration at Luna Park, every SALT event is designed with one purpose: helping people living with a disability and families find a place to belong with the support they want and deserve.

Research shows that social connection is one of the most powerful predictors of mental health and wellbeing. Loneliness and isolation don’t just feel bad—they harm us. Community heals.

So we create spaces where everyone is welcome, where barriers are removed, and where the simple act of being together reminds us all that we’re not alone.

Free Community Dinner: Connection Over a Shared Meal

Every last Friday of the month, we open our doors for a free community dinner where good food meets great company.

This isn’t a formal event or a stuffy gathering. It’s just people coming together to share a meal, swap stories, and build the kind of friendships that matter. NDIS participants, support workers, families, and community members all sit at the same table—because everyone deserves a place to belong.

No cost. No barriers. Just turn up and find your seat.

When: Last Friday of every month, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Where: 1 Library Place, Eltham, VIC 3095
