HEIDELBERG WEST, VIC—15 May 2024—The SALT Foundation, a leading provider of disability support services in Melbourne, is excited to announce its upcoming series of free NDIS IT Workshops designed to empower people with disabilities to make the most of technology in their daily lives.
These interactive workshops will help participants understand how technology can support their independence and goals, discover practical tools and resources to enhance their daily routines, and learn from experienced facilitators in a supportive, small-group setting. Regardless of their tech experience level, there is a workshop to suit everyone’s needs.
“These NDIS IT Workshops are an opportunity for participants,” says Patrick Donnelley, who is the Intake Manager at The SALT Foundation. “We’ve designed them specifically to simplify technology and give people the skills and confidence they need to unlock their full potential.”
Participants can expect to gain valuable skills, such as:
- Confidence using everyday technology like tablets, smartphones, and computers
- The ability to explore life-changing apps, communication tools, and accessibility features
- Expanded knowledge about the ever-evolving world of technology
“The workshops have been a transformative experience for our clients,” explains Donnelley. “They leave feeling empowered, connected, and excited to continue exploring the possibilities that technology can offer.”
The NDIS IT Workshops take place at The SALT Foundation’s headquarters in Heidelberg West. Limited spaces, so interested participants should register soon at https://thesaltfoundation.org.au/techworkshop/.
