The Salt Foundation is excited to offer a unique 12-week Work Traineeship Program designed to help you gain hands-on experience in retail operations and build your confidence for future employment.

The Salt Foundation is excited to offer a unique 12-week Work Traineeship Program designed to help you gain hands-on experience in retail operations and build your confidence for future employment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Practical Work Experience:

You’ll spend 2-3 hours per week (with the option to increase) working alongside the Salt Foundation friendly staff at the Oldies and Goodies Op Shop in Heidelberg West.

Supportive Mentorship:

The Salt Foundation dedicated program coordinator, experienced Oldies and Goodies Op shop staff, and a one on one NDIS support worker will guide and support you throughout the program.

Skill Development:

Learn valuable retail skills like merchandising, customer service, point-of-sale systems, and more.

Career Preparation:

Receive one-on-one coaching on resume writing from a qualified professional and gain insights into interviewing and job searching.

Certification and Recognition:

Earn a certificate of work experience completion and a reference from The Salt Foundation to showcase your achievements.

Potential Career Pathways:

Explore potential job opportunities and gain valuable connections for your future career.

Communication: Interact effectively with staff and customers, both verbally and non-verbally.

Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.

Problem Solving: Identify and address issues that may arise in a retail setting.

Time Management: Manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines effectively within their allocated work hours.

Time Schedule

Flexible hours, Monday-Sunday, 9am-5pm (based on your preference and availability).

Costs

Fully funded through Core Support & Capacity building funding.
